What the Holy Ghost was Given
for no 21
The Blood of the everlasting Covenant
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his
cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they
be things in earth, or things in heaven.
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God
the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling
of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought
again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through
the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Romans
Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of
darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom
we have redemption
through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Let us pray, Dear Father we
have read from Thy Word this morning and we see the wonderful benefits you have
given to us through the shedding of your sons blood, The blood of the
everlasting covenant and we are so thankful Father for all the benefits we have
received and will receive on account of this everlasting covenant, the blood of
the everlasting covenant. help us to find our peace
through the blood of your son Jesus for we ask it in his name, amen.
Now, this morning I would like
to speak on the blood of the everlasting covenant, and hopefully we will all
find and understand what these benefits are that God has bestowed upon us
through the shed blood of His Son Jesus.
But before we begin I would
like to read from brother Branham's sermon, "What the Holy Ghost was Given
for" this will be no 21 in our series and we will pick up at paragraph no
49.
49 "Therefore,
no other blood would
sanctify people. I couldn't sanctify you, and you couldn't sanctify
me, 'cause we're both born after sex. But Jesus was born without sex. That's
right. So His Blood was
a Sanctifier. And God came down, made a body, lived in it, shed
that Blood for the sanctifying of this, which absolutely expelled
the guilt of sin and shame. Then through faith, believing in that, God comes right down into that
human body by the sanctifying of that Blood, puts him Abraham's seed
by faith to believe that that Blood would come, that pure Blood that would
be a miracle like His Blood. Walked over there after he
was as good as dead, believed God for twenty-five years, him seventy-five years
old, and believed till he was a hundred. And Sarah, sixty-five, and
believed till she was ninety... And he was one as good as a dead... And God
said, "So the
people won't be sure to miss it, take him up here on the hill and offer him up
for a sacrifice."
50 He said to the
servants, "You
stand here with the mule and wait. The son and I will go yonder and worship,
and the son and I shall return." Oh, how is he going to do it? Abraham said, "I received him as one from the dead, and I
know that He that give him to me as one from the dead, is able to rise him up
from the dead if I only
keep His Word. Keep...
I keep His Word; He's able to raise him up from the dead," perfectly speaking of Christ. There
He is. And through that
Blood cell come forth the Holy Ghost, that had Itself
bound up in a body called Jesus. That Blood sanctified a way, by faith, to call
the redeemed or the elected of God. And when you've accepted, then the Holy Spirit has taken all
the meanness out of you, He moves right in, God Himself, to work His will.
Down here, where that mean boss is crabby, and this other old So-and-so over
here is doing so-and-so, and this old guy talking about against it. A man filled with the Holy Ghost
will stand right in the face of it. Amen.
Notice that we are told that the very life that was in
the Blood of Jesus when it was shed for us, released that God-Life that was in
the blood so that it could come back upon us. And that blood brings us back, it
redeems us which means it brings us back to the position we were before the
fall in the garden.
The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians
1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to
the riches of his grace;
So, not only do we receive the life that was in that
blood, but it brings us redemption, which means we were bought back. redeemed, brought back to the place we were before the fall.
and not only that but through that blood we have the
forgiveness of our sin, or unbelief.
The Apostle Paul also taught us in Romans 5:9 Much more then,
being now justified by
his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him.
There are two more things we find here. First of all
our justification comes through the shedding of His Blood, and justification
means you never did it in the first place, because the blood takes that sin and
unbelief and brings it back to its origin which is satan,
and lays it upon him.
Rapture the 65-1204 P:92
And notice, not only
is the Bride washed, forgiven, but she's justified. See? Did you ever try
the word "justify" to see what it means? Now, for
instance, if Brother Green heard that I'd been drinking, I'd been doing bad
things, then he found out that I didn't do it, then he'd come, say, "I
forgive you, Brother Branham." "You forgive me? I never
done it. What are you forgiving me about?" See? But if I'm guilty,
then I can be forgiven, but I'm still not just, because I did it. But the word
"justified"
is "though you
never done it at all": justified. And then the Blood of Jesus Christ
cleanses us so from sins, till it's put in the book of God's
forgetfulness. He's the only One can do it. We can't. We can forgive, but
not forget. I could forgive you, but I'll always remember you done these evil
things. Then you're not just; you're forgiven. But in the sight of God the
Bride is justified. She never done it in the
first place. Amen. Standing there married to the virtuous Son of God,
never sinned in the first place. Why? She was foreordained; she was trapped
into this. And now when she heard the Truth and come forth, the Blood
cleansed her. And She stands there virtuous. See?
She's... No sin on Her at all.
Invisible union of the bride 65-1125 P:107 By
the washing of the Water by the Word, and the Word. See? You are standing completely
justified as though you never did it at the beginning. This is my message to
the church now as we go off the air just in a minute. You are standing, if
you're standing on God's Word and with God's Word, every amen,
every jot, every tittle. Where you standing? I'm
trying to tell you: Pull away from them shucks and get out here in the wheat
where you can get ripe before the sun. I hear the coming of the combine. You're
standing complete, justified like you never did it in the first place.
Hallelujah. Talk about a Thanksgiving. I feel real good. I'm more thankful for
that than anything I know of. You are the pure, virtuous, sinless Bride of
the Son of the living God. Every man and woman that's born of the Spirit of God, and washed in the
Blood of Jesus Christ, and believes every Word of God, stands as though you
never sinned at the first place. You're perfect. The Blood of Jesus Christ...
Law Having A
Shadow 54-1203 42 Notice,
now in the germ, but when God, when Christ, was in the womb of Mary... You're
just a little teeny germ. Before it was a germ... What's after that germ? Is a life. Then
you're in the supernatural; you're in the sixth dimension. You're plumb out of
human reasoning. You're into spirit life. Every little germ has a life; that life come from
somewhere. The life of the cancer come from
the Devil. Your life
come from God; that's the difference. And God being manifested in
the flesh with Christ Jesus the anointed, wrapped Himself in a Blood cell
(Oh, my.) in the womb of Mary, brought forth His Life.
He lived a man; He died
a man to give His Blood, that through His body, and the shedding of His Blood
that every believer could be wrapped in that Blood cell with Him. Which if a borned again Spirit
of a man is wrapped in the Blood cell of the Son of God, and God can no more
deny you than He could deny Himself. For by one Spirit
we're all baptized into one Body, and become partakers of the same
Spirit that's in this Blood cell. And the Church is wrapped into the
Blood cell of the Life of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Then we are sons
of God, joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom.
Law or Grace
54-1006 97 Now, when Jesus
come, it wasn't only human's life, but it was God's own Life, Himself. That's what was in His Blood.
So we see a beautiful picture of the blood
sprinkling the earth, the same earth from where we received these mortals bodies and the elements that make up our bodies,
giving expression to our two thirds being that is the eternal part of who we
are. And the blood which fell from the side of our saviour when it fell to the
earth it sanctified the calcium and potash and other elements that go into the
making of your bodies. And we see the blood sanctifying the earth. First the
earth was washed in the time of Noah, and then it was sanctified by the blood
of Jesus, and now it will soon receive it's baptism with fire.
Brother Branham preached a message called the
masterpiece and he told us the story of how Michelangelo had carved from a
single block of marble the statue of Moses. He had first saw it in his mind,
and then when his hands went to work, he was able to bring forth from the image
that was in his mind, into reality, and he was so excited to see who perfect
that image came into reality before him that he took his hammer and struck the
knee and said "speak".
And when he struck that statute of Moses, it was
because he was so excited to see what had been in his mind had become so real to
life, that he struck the statue on the knee and in doing so he chipped his
masterpiece. And the flaw that was left, the chip in the knee is a testament to
this day that this masterpiece had come from thought to image.
And the same can be said when you see the flaws in your
own flesh, it shows there was a purpose for the wound in the side of Jesus
which spilt his blood to the earth, and that is what makes perfect the
imperfect. That is what takes your flaw and covers it by the blood.
That blood is what makes the sinner a saint. That same
blood coming forth from that wound in His Side is what makes and the sick become
whole, for "by his stripes we are healed."
And it is by this same "blood that we are
redeemed," which means that which was in part is done away
with, because that which is perfect is come.
That same blood flowing from that wound is
that which brought forth our salvation, and sanctification, as it cleansed the earth from where our body
elements would one day come. And it brought forth
healing for healing is in the atonement. And so by this wound,
we see the Great masterpiece of God, the Son of God become the perfect
reflection of the divine attributes of the Loving Father, and all the divine
attributes of Savior, Healer, redeemer, etc were brought forth in that one act
in which the side of our eldest brother was struck and out from it the
very blood that once flowed through his veins, the very blood of His Father, God,
came down to the earth to sanctify our vessels.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much
more then, being now justified
by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the
death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be
partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath
delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by
him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or
powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all
things, and by him all things consist.
Now, this word consist was translated from the Greek
word (sunistao soon-is-tah'-o
1) and it means: to place together, to set in the same place, to bring or
band together; to stand with (or near) 2) to set one with another i.e by way of presenting or introducing him, i.e. to
comprehend 3) to put together by way of composition or combination, to
teach by combining and comparing, hence to show, prove, establish, exhibit 4)
to put together (i.e. unite parts into one whole); to be composed of,
consist).
18 And he is the head of the body, the
church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in
all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the
Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the
blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him,
I say, whether they
be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were
sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he
reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and un-blameable and un-reproveable in
his sight:
Just like the blood moons which we are seeing,
completely immersed in the reflective blood of the creator until all we can see
is that blood covering her. Is it
possible that these four blood moons have another significance we are missing
the understanding of?
I had been thinking that the world was looking to
these four blood moons to mean something significant to the Jewish people, and I
had thought perhaps it meant the death of the church because the moon
represents the church, and the red represents blood, and that is why it is
called a blood moon.
But could it actually mean that in the death of the
church, (and remember as we die to self, and the church must die to itself) and
in that death, we will only see the blood of the Saviour, and she stands completely
immersed in the blood of Him who made the sun the moon and the stars, and she in
her death, The Light of the glorious son of God almost gone from the earth, yet
in the absence of the Light we will still see her covered by His blood, Totally
Redeemed, Totally Sanctified, Totally forgiven and
now Totally at peace with God.
When I look up at that Blood moon, I do not see
For we are washed by the blood of
the lamb, and God is showing that He has made ready a prepared people to be
received by the groom. I wonder if
we were to hold a red filter over our eyes when we see this next blood moon pass,
if we will see that moon as white as snow. For we are told in Isaiah
Did not brother Branham tell us before God gets ready
to do anything on earth he reveals it in the heavens?
Could it be that this sign in the skies is to tell us
that God is about to embark on the third fold reason of His great purpose?
Remember in Christ is the
Mystery of God Revealed, Brother Branham taught us that the first fold purpose of God was to identify Himself in His
son, to Live in His son, and the second purpose was to live in His church, His
Bride, and the third fold purpose was to return us back to where we could have
fellowship with him as they did in the Garden before the fall, where he walked
with them and he talked with them in the cool of the evening.
Christ is the mystery 63-0728 P:214 214
now Christ ... in Life redeems His Bride from death, and now on His way back
to the original Eden, restoring back His Bride in fellowship back with God, as
Husband and Wife to the garden of Eden: Christ and His Bride.
215 And God... At that day, the Kingdom be given over to
the Father, He might be All in All.
"While he's yet speaking, I'll hear," days of Christ... David sitting
on the Throne, the King over the whole human race... "And while they're
yet thinking, I'll know what they're thinking about; 'fore they speak, I'll
answer. The wolf and
the lamb shall feed together. The lion shall eat straw like a bullock. They
shall feed together and lay down. They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain." Right back exactly to
216 Listen closely now again as we go on,
going back to the original
217 And
remember, we are now as His
Bride, pregnated with His Spirit. Oh, my. The Church bearing children (See?), pregnated by His Spirit with His
Name, bearing His Name, bearing His Life, bringing forth the signs of His Life evident with the preeminences, evidence of His resurrection showing
that He is not dead, but alive forevermore. This is Eternal Life. And a-vindicates to the world that
we are alive in Him. Whew.
And notice he says, the
church pregnated with Hi Spirit and bearing children...
Now, let's look at this picture just for a moment,
because brother Branham said in his sermon, Shalom 64-0119 P:17 Now, we
find that the moon in the Bible represents the church. It shows light on
the earth in the absence of the sun. Revelations
the 12th chapter really explains that, the
woman with the moon under her feet, the sun at her head. And
how that in the absence of the sun, when the sun is gone to the other side, the
moon reflects the sun to the earth. The church is to reflect
Jesus Christ to the world in the absence of the Son of God. We all believe
that. It's a strange thing, as much indifference.
And from his sermon, Lamb's
book of life 56-0603 P:25 Now, the woman is the church, and the church was... The
moon was under her feet. In other words, it was still shining. But she was
above it, because she'd
already become in a condition that she was bearing a child. She
was travailing in birth. And the
moon was passing away, and the sun was shining. Now, the moon is...
What makes the moon light, is the sun shining on it.
It's just a shadow of the sun. And therefore, the moon had lived its day out,
and the sun was rising. The woman wasn't clothed with the moon; she was clothed
with the sun. It was a Gospel church coming into existence.
Notice that Revelations speaks of the Alpha birth of
the Life of Christ in the woman, the Church. And if Alpha must repeat in Omega,
are we seeing a repeat of this? Is the
Alpha becoming Omega? remember he said in Christ is
the Mystery the same thing as Revelations 12 says...
217 And remember, we
are now as His Bride,
pregnated with His Spirit.
Whew.
Shalom 64-0112 P:40 38 Now, now when we find out
that after King Shalom was come from the city, then creed took it over later.
And it's constantly been creed, but it represents the old church. And we're
taught in the New Testament (Don't fail to get this.)--in the
New Testament, that we are not of this city,
But notice then that
blackout was not a blood moon, because it was not yet time for it. But now we
are in the midst of the tetrad blood moons, and a complete solar eclipse
representing judgment to the gentiles.
Now, notice the importance brother Branham places here
on the moon going into a complete eclipse.
39 Did any of you see the paper
where they took the pictures of the moon? I have it here. If it ain't a
perfect image, leaving out the seventh age which is not yet, exactly
the way I drawed by the Holy Spirit, the church ages.
There's the six of them; the
seventh is not finished yet. The six conditions of the moon, how in its
brightness in the first church age, dark in the second, third, fourth, fifth,
and sixth; just the way the Holy Spirit let me draw them on the board, and
then identified them with Hisself on the wall of the
Tabernacle two years ago.
He's referring to the time when the Holy Spirit came
into the Tabernacle and actually drew that light of the moon getting less and
less just as he had done on the black board.
"The moon reflects itself, and science
again picks up the picture of the church ages, just as they picked up that
Light yonder and put it in "Life" Magazine, of the opening of
the Seals, of the revealing in the age of the seventh angel. In the days of his
ministry, the seventh messenger, the mysteries of God, which all the mysteries
has been along the ages, should be revealed, made manifest; it should be at
that time. And He did it. His Words don't fail. Isn't that a mysterious
thing? God drawing in the heavens the same thing that they hold, same God
let me draw on the blackboard, and then by Himself. That's three times
He's perfectly identified it, and just before the pope goes into
So we are looking at the power of the blood, and what
it means to us this morning. Don't you see how god is making ready a prepared
people? The moon declares our condition, and three is a witness.
From his sermon, Proving
His Word 64-0816 P:115 And He
will have a
And from Christ is the mystery brother Branham speaks
of the offering of the speckled bird which was for the atonement of the people,
Christ is the Mystery 63-072887-2 How did they speckle the bird?--they were both white, and
then they pulled the head off of one bird and drained the blood out upon the
other bird. And the other bird was speckled with the red blood, and
it flopped its wings like this, and the blood cried,
"Holy, holy, holy" as it bathed the ground. So Christ, the dead Mate,
put His Blood (His Blood from His Life) into us, carrying His
Blood crying, "Holy, holy, holy" unto the Lord. It's an odd looking bird. Sure it is.
But She, the Bride, is identified by Him, and She's
independent from all others, "Keep thee
only unto her as long as you both live." Keep thee only to Him, the Word. No adultery, not one sign of denomination, not one sign of creed, no
adultery at all, the
Word and Him alone. "On Christ the solid rock I stand, all
other grounds is sinking sands," said Eddie Pruitt.
The apostle Paul explains how God did this in the next
few verses. 6 For when we
were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For
scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some
would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
Now, why was it so important that Christ had to die?
Because in Christ had been placed the fullness of the Godhood bodily.
Everything that God was He had placed in His Son, Jesus. Then God Himself had
stepped into His Son to manifest Himself to mankind. Then God had to leave His
Son in order that His Son might be able to die. And when He did die, the
Life was released from that Body through the shedding of His
blood and you and I are the recipients of that Life being allowed to
flow to the earth through the pouring out of His blood, and the
seeds of life that God had placed in the earth were watered by that blood
that flowed forth from Calvary bringing forth the Life that was in the
blood into each predestined seed. Not only did it carry the life into
the seed, but His death also justified the seed, thus saving it.
The Rising of the Sun 65-0418.1M 12-1 I'm afraid today that too many of us are
not getting people to Christ. We're getting them to a church, to a theory, but
we must get them to Christ. He is the only One, and the only One that has Life.
"He that has the
Son, has Life." And if the life of a man that's dead
be projected in you, you will live the same life he lives. If the
blood of a man was a certain type, and you took the blood from one man and
changed the blood of the one man into another, he'd absolutely be that typed
blood. And if your spirit that's in you is reckoned dead, and you are anointed
with the Life that was in Christ is upon you... Romans
We read earlier this morning, Romans 5: 9 Much more
then, being now justified
by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
And thus we are saved
from the wrath to come which are the judgments of God that will come
upon the earth. We are saved from these judgments which came into the earth
when the sixth seal was opened. But God can not destroy His
own? And since His life has entered into the predestined seeds through
the blood of His Son, then God can no more destroy His own offspring, than he
could destroy Himself. He just could not do it and be a just God and Father.
Therefore, He has made the way for yours and my rescue from the judgments that
are coming upon the earth.
10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his
Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And notice that it is His
very own Life that saves us. 11
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by
whom we have now received the atonement.
I can no longer look up in the
heavens and see the wrath of God coming. Now, when I look up and see the symbol
of His church covered by His blood, I see Like Enoch did,
a sign of the mercy of God and the salvation of His church from the wrath to
come.
Oh, Glory be to God, the
great creator of the universe who has come down and is working in me both to will and to do His good pleasure.
What can wash away my sin, nothing but the
blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Think of it, the 20th of March is the equinox when the
day and night are at an equal time, and the Full Moon comes out and is covered
by the blood of the Son of God in the absence of His light. And then the next
day comes the New Moon, and it's a full moon.
What can wash away my sin, nothing but the
blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is that flow,
that makes me white as snow.
No other fount I know,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon, this I see, nothing but the
blood of Jesus
For my cleansing this my plea, nothing but
the blood of Jesus
O precious is that flow,
that makes me white as snow.
No other fount I know,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Nothing can for sin atone, nothing but the
blood of Jesus
Naught of good that I have done, nothing
but the blood of Jesus
O precious is that flow,
that makes me white as snow.
No other fount I know,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my hope and Peace, nothing but
the blood of Jesus
This is all my righteousness, nothing but
the blood of Jesus
O precious is that flow,
that makes me white as snow.
No other fount I know,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O brothers and sister, look up your
redemption draws near.
There is a fountain filled with blood,
drawn from Immanuel's veins
and sinners plunged beneath that flood loose
all their guilty stains.
Loose all their guilty stains loose all
their guilty stains.
And sinners plunge beneath that flood loose
all their guilty stains.
That dying thief rejoiced to see that
fountain in his day,
and there may I though vile as he wash all my
sins away.
wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away.
And there may I though vile as he wash all my sins away.
Ever since by Faith I saw that stream, thy
flowing wound supply
Redeeming love has been my theme and shall
be till I die.
And shall be till I die, and shall be till
I die,
Redeeming love has been my theme and shall
be till I die.
Then in a nobler sweeter song, I'll sing Thy
power to save,
And this poor lisping, stammering tongue, shall
not go to the grave,
shall rise up above the grave, rise up beyond
the grave.
And this poor lisping stammering tongue
shall rise up above the grave.
Oh brothers and sisters, God has declared in the
heavens His glorious washing of the bride of Jesus Christ in the blood of His
son. And "He is making ready a prepared people".
let us pray...
