What the Holy Ghost was Given for no 22

The Holy Ghost was given us for Power

Brian Kocourek, Pastor

Luke 24:30  And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31  And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.  32  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33  And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34  Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. 35  And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. 36  And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37  But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38  And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39  Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40  And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41  And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42  And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43  And he took it, and did eat before them. 44  And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46  And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48  And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: (and what is the promise of His Father? It's the Holy Ghost. That's God's promise.) but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Now, this word power that comes from on High, was translated from the Greek word "Dunamis", and it literally and figuratively means "force", the force from on High. And it specially means or specifically means "miracle working power". Now, that's not my definition, that is the bible definition of the Greek Word "Dunamis".

50  And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51  And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52  And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53  And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Let us pray...

Now, this morning we will continue in our study of brother Branham's sermon, "What the Holy Ghost was Given for" and this will be no 22 in our series and we will pick up at paragraph 49 where brother Branham says...

49 "Therefore, no other blood would sanctify people. I couldn't sanctify you, and you couldn't sanctify me, 'cause we're both born after sex. But Jesus was born without sex. That's right. So His Blood was a Sanctifier. And God came down, made a body, lived in it, shed that Blood for the sanctifying of this, which absolutely expelled the guilt of sin and shame. Then through faith, believing in that, God comes right down into that human body by the sanctifying of that Blood, puts him Abraham's seed by faith to believe that that Blood would come, that pure Blood that would be a miracle like His Blood. Walked over there after he was as good as dead, believed God for twenty-five years, him seventy-five years old, and believed till he was a hundred. And Sarah, sixty-five, and believed till she was ninety... And he was one as good as a dead... And God said, "So the people won't be sure to miss it, take him up here on the hill and offer him up for a sacrifice."

50 He said to the servants, "You stand here with the mule and wait. The son and I will go yonder and worship, and the son and I shall return." Oh, how is he going to do it? Abraham said, "I received him as one from the dead, and I know that He that give him to me as one from the dead, is able to rise him up from the dead if I only keep His Word. Keep... I keep His Word; He's able to raise him up from the dead," perfectly speaking of Christ. There He is. And through that Blood cell come forth the Holy Ghost, that had Itself bound up in a body called Jesus. That Blood sanctified a way, by faith, to call the redeemed or the elected of God. And when you've accepted, then the Holy Spirit has taken all the meanness out of you, He moves right in, God Himself, to work His will. Down here, where that mean boss is crabby, and this other old So-and-so over here is doing so-and-so, and this old guy talking about against it. A man filled with the Holy Ghost will stand right in the face of it. Amen.

51 And they took heed. They was ignorant and unlearned, but they took heed they'd been with Jesus. That's what the Holy Ghost come for. A little old fisherman couldn't sign his name. But he stood there and said, "Who shall we believe, man or God? (Amen.) Let it be known to you, we'll still preach in Jesus' Name." Ah, what boldness. He knowed he "He had a home over yonder." That's right. He was a pilgrim and a stranger here; he was seeking a City to come. What did that hypocrite priest mean to him? He was under the domination of the God of heaven that raised up His Son, Christ Jesus, and filled him with the Spirit of the God that made the heavens and earth. There you are. He wasn't scared of him. No, sir.

You know, I think I'm just going to stop here for a minute or two and make a comment about what God's prophet just told us. Notice what he is telling us about Peter and John. The people could tell that they had been with Christ. Let me put it to you this way, the people could tell that these two had lived in the presence of Christ.

And I would like to ask you the same thing. Can the people tell by watching your life that you have lived in the presence of Jesus Christ?  Now, that's an important question.

Because we read for our text this morning a promise that Jesus gave us just before he left the earth. He said "I will send the promise of My Spirit upon you and you", not me, not my prophet, but "YOU will be endued with power from on high". "You will be endued, Not I will be endued, but you will be filled with a Force from on High. "You will be endued with miracle working power from on high".

So how did they know that these men had been with Jesus? Because they saw the same works that Jesus did being done by them. So how do people know that you are living in the presence of Jesus Christ? because they will see in you Jesus Christ the same  yesterday, today and forever.

We had a brother years ago who went around asking other brothers in church "do you see Christ in Me?" "Do you see Christ in Me?", and it is sad, but true, the brothers told him, "No, I do not see Christ in you".

Now, I do not know what this brother  expected others to see in him, but they certainly did not see John 14:12 in this brother and I can tell you that if you are not humble, and completely surrendered to the will of God your Father, no one will ever see Christ in you. Because you are not dead to yourself.

The Apostle Paul said,  Colossians 3:3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Therefore in order for your life to be hid with Christ in God, you must be dead to uyour life. And as long as you are not dead to your own self how could you ever expect others to see Christ in you? For if you are dead to self, and your life is now hid with Christ in God, then what Life is now living in you is the very life of Christ, His Life. And that is what Paul tells us next.

4  "When Christ, who is our life, (not was, that is past tense, but when Christ is present tense your life, that is what he is saying here. When Christ is present tense living your life for you, then when He) shall appear, (when he shall phaneroo, when he shall manifest in His true character) then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Then shall you also manifest in your true character along with him in the same glory, in the same doxa, in the same values, opinion, and judgments. Why? because you are dead and your life is now, present tense hid with Christ in God. And the life you are now living in your flesh is the very life of the son of God, making Him Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.

And if this is so with your life, then he says,"Mortify therefore (that means, "kill off therefore") your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: Why? Because a dead man can't do those things.

And notice brother Branham says in the next paragraph, 52 Death, why, when they took little old Stephen out there and said, "Take it back!" he said, "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in the heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Ghost. Like your fathers did, so do you!" They said, "We'll beat you to death." He said, "You couldn't do that if you..." "We'll show you whether we'll do it or not." And they grabbed big rocks and begin to pound him in the head. He looked up, and said, "I see the heavens open. I see the ladder coming down. I see Jesus standing at the right hand of His Majesty." And the Bible didn't say he died; he fell asleep. Oh, my. I can just see an Angel come down, pick him up, and rock him like a baby, a mother, till he went to sleep. Oh, my. Sure, that's the purpose of the Holy Ghost. And that's what God sent the Holy Ghost for.

53 The Holy Ghost come to give you power. I got some more Scriptures here just a minute. The Holy Ghost come to give you power (I ain't... You can find this. I'm just too much of away tonight), give you power, power in prayer. (1) You take a person that's lived a good life, but they're always defeated, "Oh, I tell you..." A good person... "Oh, sure I love the Lord, Brother Branham." Always defeated; they never get a prayer answered. You fill that little woman with the Holy Ghost one time. Watch what takes place. When she goes before God, she's not defeated. She comes boldly to the throne of God, believing. She has a right, because she's a daughter of God by a birth. Take that little man, so cowardly, the boss kick him all over the place. Say, "Wait a minute here now." Something changed. See? He's got the Holy Ghost. He gives you power; your life is full of power.

54 He gives you power in speech. (2) Why, my, those people that was afraid standing out there... Peter, James, John, Luke, and all the rest of them, they'd done got in the upper room and said, "Oh, we can't stay no more. Them... Looky there. There's Dr. So-and-so-and-so out there. There's Rabbi So-and-so-and-so. You know, he had four degrees of college. How we ever stand against him?" Peter said, "Oh, I remember selling that man fish one day. He spoke, and I didn't even know what he was talking about. Oh, I could never stand against him. But what can we do, brethren?" He said, "Wait." "But we've done been here four days." "Just keep on waiting." "How long?" "Until..." "Well, did He say it would be on the fifth day?" "He never said how long? He said, 'Until...'" So they just kept waiting, "How long?" "Until..." "Eight days passed." "Until..." "Nine days passed." "Until..."

55 And finally when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all in one place in one accord. God had been above them in a fiery cloud. God had walked with them on earth. Now, something else is going to take place. Something's fixing to happen. "They were all in one place in one accord. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the room where they were setting. Cloven tongues set upon them. What is cloven? "Parted," like stammering. Did you ever hear anybody stammer? They go, "Ah-ah-ah [Brother Branham imitates someone stammering--Ed.]." See? They can't say nothing, "Cloven, parted," like a cloven hoof. Means something that's "split, parted." They wasn't talking; they wasn't jabbering; they wasn't doing nothing but just making a noise. Cloven tongues set upon them as if it was fire. Oh, they couldn't hold themselves. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Whew.

56 Then what happened? Out into the streets they went. "Where is that Rabbi Jones? Where is that fellow at? Where is that intellectual giant? God was over us with Moses in the burning bush. He fed us with manna on high. He walked with us for three years--or three years and six months here on earth. But now He's in me. It's not me that speaketh; it's Him. I know Who He is; I know who I am. I ain't no more, and He is. Bring him up here." "Ye men of Israel and you that dwell in Judaea, let this be known unto you, and hearken unto my voice. All of you preachers and rabbis..." Whew. My, power of speech. Oh. "These are not drunk (taking up for that little minority, hundred and twenty against ten thousand or more)--these are not drunk as you suppose, seeing it's the third hour of the day. (I'm a Full Gospel preacher.) But this is that that was spoke of by the prophet Joel: 'It shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I'll pour out My Spirit (Whew.) upon all flesh. And your...' (You see Mary out there dancing in the spirit, speaking in tongues and carrying on?) 'Upon all flesh, upon My handsmaids will I pour out My Spirit. I'll show signs in the heavens above and in the earth below, Pillars of Fire and vapors of smoke.'" God was in His people then. See? Amen.

Look what happened. These 120 that were in the upper room were there hiding. They were afraid. They were all a bunch of cowardly Christians with no back bone to stand in the face of adversity. They hid themselves in that room, but when God came into that room, and into their hearts, and filled them with His won Spirit, they weren't cowards any more. They went out of that room Glorifying God and testifying of the power of God. And brother Branham said, they had power of speech.

I wonder sometimes if we Christians don't do the same thing. we hide in our Churches, and that is the only place where we will show any excitement about the Word of God.  Some backslidden preacher or laity call you foolish virgin, or some nasty spirited person say you listen to William Branham and you will get confused and then lost? And that bothers you?

Listen, brother Branham said, they hid in that room because they were afraid of what people would say to them. "oh, you're the people who followed that so called prophet Jesus, but now he's dead and now they are going to get you too!"

They still do it today, they say "Oh, you pure deluded confused person, if you continue to listen to William Branham you will be confused and lost."

Well, if you got the Holy Ghost you wont be afraid to answer that person with power.

You'll do like Jesus did after Satan accused him, Jesus said, "Depart from me Satan, for it is written, thou shall worship the Lord God and Him only shalt thou worship."

Don't you people realize that every time you are confronted by Satan, God has already Given you His Word to arm yourself with? YOu fear now, but one day you will know what a puny pip-squeak this Satan character really is. All he is, is a bluff. His stinger was already pulled out at Calvary.

Isaiah 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16  They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?  that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Now, listen! everyone will look at this pip squeak and say is this the one who did all this damage?

Oh, I love the way the Message Bible says it: You said to yourself, “I’ll climb to heaven. I’ll set my throne over the stars of God. I’ll run the assembly of angels that meets on sacred Mount Zaphon. I’ll climb to the top of the clouds. I’ll take over as King of the Uni:! 15-17 But you didn’t make it, did you?  Instead of climbing up, you came down—Down with the underground dead, down to the abyss of the Pit. People will stare and muse: “Can this be the one Who terrorized earth and its kingdoms, turned earth to a moonscape, Wasted its cities, shut up his prisoners to a living death?” 18-20 Other kings get a decent burial, honored with eulogies and placed in a tomb. But you’re dumped in a ditch unburied, like a stray dog or cat, Covered with rotting bodies, murdered and indigent corpses. Your dead body desecrated, mutilated—no state funeral for you! You’ve left your land in ruins, left a legacy of massacre. The progeny of your evil life will never be named. Oblivion!

Listen brothers and sisters, the Holy Ghost was Given to give you power in prayer and power in speech. That's what Jesus promised, he said, "If you say to this mountain "be moved' and don't doubt in your heart you can have what you have said."

Brothers, when God makes you a promise of giving you His power from on high, I would rather err in believing that John 14:12 is God's answer to that promise, than err in disbelieving John 14:12 is promise of God for me. You understand what I am telling you. when God told me to take charge of that meeting, and I thought how can I take charge of this meeting when I can't even hear myself preach. But I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, and in obedience I began to walk back to the pulpit and it was then after taking my first step, I saw how Jesus took charge by sitting up in the boat and speaking to the wind and waves and said "peace be still".  By the time I took my second step, I saw William Branham having spoken to the storm in Colorado, and then ran around the tree after the storm went away, and then the devil said if you do, you will make a big fool of yourself. and I thought I would rather be a fool believing God than a fool disbelieving him.

And that is what we are talking about. Listen to the devils lie, and you are listening to this little twerp that Isaiah points out is nothing but one big flop who thought he could get away by bluffing himself into being worshipped by mankind.  And the people looked upon him and said is this the guy who did all this? This pip-squeak is him? This puny twerp did all that? How could it be?

I'll tell you how he could do it. Because people believed his lies, his bluffs, instead of believing the Word of God. Now, did he promise us power from on High?  Did he not promise us the things he did we will do also? Then if he promised it why do you not step into it. I'll tell you why. because you have listened to the bluff of the devil who said you will be an embarrassment if you do it. You will flop and you will make a fool of yourself. Well, seems to me that Peter saw what Jesus did and he stepped into the promise and walked on water until he took his eyes off of Christ and onto the bluff Satan put before him. Yes, Peter, a common man, just a fisherman who couldn't even read or write, and he walked on water until he fell for the bluff of Satan.

Now, you can continue to do nothing by listening to Satan's bluff, or you can do what Jesus did. You can walk where he walked, and how he walked, and you can talk like he talked, and live like he lived, and do the works that he did, and show that you are a believer. Or you can show you are not a believer and put that promise off to some one else.

Jehovah Jireh 2 60-0802 P:91 Is everybody in here, got the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Raise your hands. All that has it, raise your hands. That's fine. God bless you. That's wonderful. All right. Is there still sick and afflicted in here, while they're in the room? Raise up your hands? If you want expect your healing now. I believe He will make everyone of you well. Don't you believe it? All right, now let's as we do each night, lay your hands on one another. If you feel... If you're... Everyone in here raised their hands they had the Holy Ghost. You couldn't have the Holy Ghost without being a believer. If you say you got the Holy Ghost and deny the power of God, you have a form of God and just by denying the power thereof. See? So you're not a child of God; you have anti-christ spirit. The Word of God will say, every time, it's the truth. God's Word...Aren't you glad tonight, that God promise...

Speak to this mountain 59-1123 P:15

Now, then on this Scripture I could not justify myself to preach on it. How... Did you notice Jesus said here, "Verily, I say unto you, 'If ye shall say to this mountain, "Be plucked up, and cast into the sea"'; and don't doubt, but believe in your heart that what you have said shall come to pass; you can have what you said.'" Now, I could not justify that, because I could not understand it. How then could it be that I would say something, as a man, and then how... What if I said something that wasn't according to His Word and asked something wasn't according to His Word, then it would have to come to pass. Because Jesus said, "If you say..." not, "If I say..." but, "If you say..." placing it upon His apostles, upon the believers. "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, 'Be moved'; and don't doubt in their heart, but believe that what they have said shall come to pass; they can have what you said." Not what He said, what you say.

Uncertain sound 61-0415E P:72 Oh, "Destroy this body, I'll raise it up in three days." Jesus said, "If you be in Me and My Word in you, you can ask what you will, and it'll be done to you." "It maybe it'll be done to you"? No, no, there's no uncertainty about that. "I will. It will be done. It shall be done." Is that right? When He looked at that fig tree and cursed it, and twenty-four hours later He come by, and it was withered, Peter said, "Look, the tree is already withering." Jesus said, "Have faith in God. For verily, verily, I say unto you, if you (Not me, but you... Amen, brethren.)--if you say to this mountain... (Not if I say, but if you say to this mountain), 'Be moved and plucked up and cast into the sea;' and won't doubt, but believe that what you have said shall come to pass, you shall have what you say." Amen. Not maybe you will, not maybe you will; but you will.

Attitude and who is God? 50-0815 P:35 And when the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is here to inspire you, remember, God will make your body come into your confession. If you say you're a drunkard, and want a drink. Don't worry, you'll soon be one. If you say you're a sinner, and want to sin, you'll be right into it. If you say you're a Christian and believe it all along, God will bring... Your testimony will bring you right into it. If you believe in healing, and believe that God has healed you, confess it, and God will make your body obey your confession, for He's the High Priest of your confession; setting at the right-hand of the Father now with His own Blood to make intercessions for any confession upon anything that He died for. And He died to rid sin. And sickness is the result of sin. "He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we are healed." Remember that. Have faith. Don't waiver. Stand on it.

I have heard but now I see 65-1127E P:67 And I looked around, I said, "God, that was You." I said, "Thank You for this. I'll go out and..."He said, "But you said. Do you doubt what you said? You said you'd get three. Now, where will the next one come from?" I thought, "Well, if I'm dreaming, I'm going to continue on." So I said... I picked out an old post over there, of a tree that was all wrapped up with this here poison ivy. You never get a squirrel in that. So I said, "The next one will come right out of that poison ivy," and there set that young red squirrel looking right at me. I set my gun down, and rubbed my eyes, and turned around again, I thought... There he set, turned his head sideways. I shot the squirrel, and then I started to go home. But said, "You said three. Do you doubt what you said?" I said, "No, Lord, I don't doubt what I said, for You're confirming." This is one Scripture that stumped me: "Not if I say, but if you say." Not if Jesus said it, but if you say it yourself.

Choosing of a bride 65-0429E P:8 If you say you've got the Holy Ghost and won't cope with the Word, it's another spirit in you. God's Spirit is on His Word. The Messiahic, the anointed Word... The Bride must be a Messiah-ette, the anointed Word.

In Brother Branham's sermon a Paradox he talks on how Joshua just spoke the Word and the sun stopped from going down. Now, scientifically that would take a pole change to do that, but I'm not interested in the science behind it, i am only interested in the God behind it.

Paradox 64-0206B P:56 A paradox. Why? Oh, you say, "That was a long time ago." That is today, the same God. Jesus said in  St. Mark 11:22, "If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said." That's defy nature, but you have to have a motive and objective to that, that's connected with it. Find out in the Word if it's supposed to be done, and then God's calling you to do it, and it'll do it. When you know that it's spoken in the Word to do it, and then God's called you to do it, then it'll happen; if your motive and objective is right to God. That's why visions take place, why things are going the way... You have to know, and know God promised it this hour." As it was in the days of Lot." He promised in the last days, then He calls to do that. It's no problem. God said so. That settles it. Sure, it's, it's a paradox. You can't explain it. No man can explain how certain things will be predicted and never one time fail to happen. It's a paradox. But God said do it. It's the day. That's the day we're living in. "The sun stood still."

Mark 11:12  And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13  And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14  And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. 15  And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

Now let's skip forward to verse 19

19  And when even was come, he went out of the city. 20  And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21  And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away. 22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Show us the father 63-0606 P:51 Jesus said in St. Mark 11:22, "Verily I say unto you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said. I say, 'When you pray believe that you receive what you ask for; it'll be given to you.'" How much more promise could be made than that? You've got to believe it, because it is a seed. Now, If you ask me for an oak tree and I give you an acorn, potentially you have an oak tree. It's in seed form. And when you want God in your life, just accept Him as your Saviour. Potentially you are a full statued son of God. You'll grow into the statue of God, just like the acorn does: grows into an oak tree.

Way back the 62-1123 P:43  If you say you believe God and deny His Word, why, you don't believe Him. If you say, "I believe Brother Branham," say, "but he's wrong. He's..." Well, how can you do that? You couldn't do it. I'd know you was wrong, 'cause you didn't believe me. And if you say you believe God, and deny His Word, well then, you don't believe God, 'cause God is His Word. You just can't do it. You've got to accept the Word.

Uncertain sound 61-0315 P:108 If you say, "The Holy Ghost is mine. I've repented, confessed my sins, believed on Christ, been baptized, I'm ready for the baptism of the Holy Ghost," the only reason you haven't got it, is because that something's wrong up here. That's right. You're not thinking right. If it was coming from down here, you'll get it right now. You say, "Brother Branham, I believe in Divine healing. I accept Him as my Healer. He was wounded for my transgressions; with His stripes I am healed." Oh, brother. That settles it. That's all of it. The only thing... If it's down here it's true. If it's up here, it's not true. If it isn't, then God be found a liar. He made a promise that He can't keep. He keeps it to others. What about you? Isn't that right? Just think of it.

Pergamean church age 60-1207 P:46 Now, if He is the living Word, then this wrote on the Bible is part of Him; then if you can receive this into Him, which is the Word, this Word comes into you by faith makes It alive, because the... Oh, catch That. The Word comes into you, if the Holy Spirit's in there, It's alive as soon as It comes in, and every promise is true. Nothing... "Therefore, if you say to this mountain 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart." Because what? You are Deity speaking. You believe it? The Bible said so. And whatever you say shall come to pass if you'll not doubt, if you can get all of the--the world bred out of you, let the Holy Spirit make you a full son or daughter of God (no world, no condemnation, no doubt). What is it then? It's no more you; it's God in you. Then you take His Word; It's a promise, and say, "Father, it's Your promise." "Satan..." Something's got to move. See, see?

Questions and answers COD 59-1223 P:95 He's a-sinning. He is not borned of the Spirit of God, because the Bible said, "He that is borned of the Spirit of God does not disbelieve. He's a believer, and he cannot..." Why? Why? Oh, here it is. The Dove is in him leading him. For the Spirit of God is in him, and he cannot deny It; he cannot. If it's the Spirit of God, God won't deny His own Word. If I deny my own word, then I become a liar. And if you say you got the Spirit of God and deny the Word of God, it's either God a liar or you're a liar, one or the other. And the Bible said, "Let every man's word be a lie and Mine be the Truth." And a man that's borned of the Spirit of God cannot disagree with God's Word; he's got to say It's right. He cannot do nothing else. This is it; this is the Truth.

Spiritual amnesia 64-0411 P:40 You must be identified with St. John the 14th , the 12th :, "He that believeth with Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Don't forget it. If you do, then you've got spiritual amnesia. You've forgotten who you are. You've forgotten what your testimony means. He said, "If you abide in Me, and My Word in you, you can ask what you will and it'll be done for you." Are you identified there to believe that that is the truth? Mark 11, when He said, "If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you said." Can you be identified there to believe that that is the truth? If it hasn't, then your getting spiritual amnesia. And you forget. You lose your Christian balance. You can't tell where you belong. You say, "I'm Methodist." "I'm Baptist; that's what I know about it." "I'm Pentecostal." "I'm this, that, or the other." Watch out. That may mean the disease sign is showing on you, that you've got some spiritual amnesia.

Jehovah Jireh 1 64-0402 P:80 Jesus said in St. Mark 11:22, "Whatsoever things... If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you said will come to pass, and you can have what you say." But there it is. See? It's not a hope; it's a "know it."

Calling Jesus on the scene 63-0804E P:52 Now, This is what He said; This is His Word. He and His Word are the same. Let His Word identify Him. That's the way He said could prove He was God, because that the works that God give Him to do was done by Him. "If I do not the works of My Father, then don't believe Me." See? That's how it identified Him. That's how to identify you. If you say you're a Christian, and the identification of a Christian, the Bible Christian, is not worked in you, then there's something wrong. See, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Yes, sir, Not maybe they will, they will.

Paul a prisoner of Christ 63-0717 P:79 "If ye abide in Me (not here and there)--abide in Me, and My Word in you, ask what you will (or say what you will), and it'll be done."

Absolute a 63-0304 P:54 Then Mark 11:22, when you prayed through He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, have faith in God. I say unto you if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved'..." When that absolute is come to you, when you're anointed with that Spirit that comes beyond all scientific control out yonder... Before there was an atom or a molecule, that One that spoke everything into existence... And when your soul is anchored to that, there's nothing can stop it. That's right. "Say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said." If that ain't an absolute to hold to... Certainly it is. That's right, an absolute.

Marriage of the lamb 62-0121E P:49 when his Word becomes prominent in you, then (You see?), it's you and Christ are one then. "If ye abide in Me, and My Word in you, you can ask what you will..." because it's not you no more; it's the Word of God: Christ in you. You become one. All right.

Unchangeable God 62-0120 P:26 Now, when Jesus said, "If you ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it," now that's just right straight down off of the shoulder. "I will do it." And He was... Now, it's on conditions: if you'll believe when you ask. Now, in Mark 11:22 we find out that Jesus said, "If you say to this mountain, 'Be thou plucked up and cast into the sea,' and don't doubt, but believe that what you have said will come to pass; you can have what you've said," See? Now, the thing... You just couldn't get out here and say, "Mountain, move down." You've got to have a motive and objective to that. You see? And that... You've got to find out first if it's the will of God, and then your motive and objective to the will of God, and then, speak to it, and stand there; it'll come down (Yes, you see?), if you get the conditions right. But you've got to have the conditions right.

Manifested sons of God 60-0518 P:99 And he said, "I want everyone to know that this is my child, and I adopt my son. And I want anyone to know, from henceforth, that his name... I dress him up, a special dress on him. And I want you to know that his name is just as good on any check as my name is. He's my child; I adopt him into my family, although he's been my son since he was born. Since he received the Holy Ghost, he's been My son. But now I'm going to place him positionally in authority. What he fires is fired, what he hires is hired. "And verily, verily, I say unto you, if you say to this tree, if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said." See? There you are; there you are. See? "He's my son." How many knows that the adoption, that they adopted the son after he'd proved to be a... Everybody ever read the Bible, placing a sons.

Escape hither come quickly 58-0202 P:54 Now, if your life tallies up to the life of Jesus Christ, that is, He said in His Word there: "If you say to this mountain, Be moved, and don't doubt, but believe that it's coming to pass; you can have what you say," what you say. The only way you could move that mountain would have to be Deity speaking. When you're a son of God you receive God, which is Zoe, God's own life, and you, become a part of God. Then if your objective is right, and your motive is right...

Infallibility of God's word 56-0404 P:22 "Those who He has called, He hath already justified: those who He had justified, He had already glorified." That's right. See? There's where we get grace and works mixed up. Here's the whole thing in the Arminian and Calvinistic belief. Grace is what God does for you; works is what you do for God. See? It's grace that brings you to God; it's the works that you do for God. See? Now, as Abraham was justified by faith, because he believed in God. Paul justified him by faith; James turns over and justifies him by works. But Paul was speaking what God saw, and James was speaking what man saw. If you say you are a believer, and then act contrary to what you say, then you're not a believer. See? If you tell God, "Yes, I now solemnly believe." Brother, you can't do nothing but act the same way you believe. That's right. You say, "Lord, my hand's crippled, but something in my heart tells me that You're the Lord that's healed me. Oh, I believe it, God, with all my heart." You can't do nothing but watch that hand move a few inches every day. See, that's it. You can't do nothing else. See? And God's obligated to that Word to watch over It.

Faith in action 55-1003 P:34 So if you just only got a mental conception of the Bible, if you say, "Well, I believe it because I read it. God's got to reveal it to you by your heart. No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit deals in the heart. So if a man really believes it from his heart, he's not afraid to put it to a test. But if you're just mentally, you'll reason it out, say, "Well, I couldn't do that. They might do it; this one might've done it. she might a got well, but I don't know about myself." But if you've really based your faith on God's eternal Word and it's down in your heart, all devils out of torment can't upset you. No, sir, you've got to stay there.

Unpardonable sin 54-1024 P:47 But your life will tally to your testimony. Your life testifies so loud, till... No matter what you say, people don't believe it if you don't live it. They ain't going to believe you. And you don't believe it yourself, and the public don't believe it; so you're just making yourself miserable.

He that is in you 63-1110E P:100 "When thou prayest, believe that you receive what you asked for, and it shall be given to you. If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, you can have what you say. The Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself; but what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise." See? And when the Father showed Him what to do, walked out there without a failure of anything, and said, "Let it be," and it was. And that same Christ lives in you and lives in us. Then His works we'll do, because Christ is the Word.

Token the 63-0901M P:51 When Peter and John passed through the gate called Beautiful, there laid a man who had been crippled--lame from his mother's wombs. And he said, "Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have, I give you. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." See? And they talked to them and knowed that they were ignorant and unlearned men, but they taken notice to them, that they had been with Jesus. See, the Token was there displayed. See?" Such as I have..." Seeing a poor fallen brother laying there, crippled, and disfigured, and everything, and the same Life that was in Christ was in them: "Such as I have...""In My Name, ye shall cast out devils." Not "I will; you will. If you say to this mountain...," not if I say. "If you say to this mountain..."Oh, brother, the hour that Token to be displayed is at hand. We can see it. We know that we're near the end now, for all kinds of messages up to show signs and wonders. And now, here we come back for what the church has got to do: the Token's got to be displayed. "When I see the Blood, I will pass over you." Nothing else would work. It must be the Blood.

Look 63-0428 P:33 We must focus our lives. Not what somebody else says, but focus our lives to Him, and He is the Word. See? If we get our lives lined with the Word, then the Word and our life becomes the same. He said, "If ye abide in Me, and My Word in you, then ask what you will; it'll be granted to you. Verily I say unto you, If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that that what you have said will come to pass; you can have what you have said (Oh, my.), not what I said, what you said." You can have, because you and He become the same, because the mind that was in Christ is in you. And the mind that was in Christ was to fulfill the Father's Word, which He was the Word. There you are. Then you and the Word are focused in together. You become a living unit of God.

Perseverance 62-0608 P:131 Now, I prayed for each one of you. I prayed for each one. Jesus said, "If you say to this mountain 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you say." Now, I have said it; now let it be done. It's written to be spoken. I have spoke it; let it be done. Now, let us pray, with our hands on each other, as believing children of God. If you ever was persistent... How can you keep from being persistent now?

Sign of His coming 62-0407 P:27 And do not learn the way of the unbeliever. Now, if he's an unbeliever, let him be what he wants to be; but you be a believer. "Heathen" means "unbeliever," somebody who does not believe what? Oh, say, "I believe God." If you don't believe God's Word, then you don't believe God. That's right." He that says he loves Me, and keeps not My commandments is a liar, and the truth's not in him." So then, we got to believe God's Word. That proves we love God, when we believe His Word.

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Notice, God is looking for your fruit first, then when you have it you can ask anything and he promised to do it.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
