The Sixth Seal and the Book of Joel

Now, last Sunday we spoke
mainly from paragraph 84 of brother Branham's
sermon, "What the Holy Ghost was Given for"
where brother Branham said, 84 "When
the moon and stars is gone, and the earth has weeped
itself into the mountains, and the deserts and everything is no more,
and the world's a-toddling like a drunk man coming home at night, and the
stars refuse to shine and fall from the heavens, and the moon turns into blood,
and the sun blushes
and hides its face,
when they see the Son of man coming, you'll shine in the
righteousness of Jesus Christ to come forth from the grave as a young,
beautiful woman to take your mate and live forever and forever and forever; and
all eternal ages you'll still be living. That's what the Holy Ghost is for."
85 If you feel the least tug, don't turn It away. What is the Holy Ghost? God in
you. What's It for? To continue His work among His people; to
bring His church together; to bring a church to a place in this day,
far beyond the Lutheran, Methodist, and Pentecostal, into a place to a adoption and a rapturing grace, that when this part of the
church, when the Spirit moves into this church here, it'll just raise. And it'll bring forth, bring forth
all of the redeemed that's touched that Spirit. Those Lutherans who
stood there with all the light they had in Justification; those Methodists that
fell on the floor, and they throwed water in their
face from the Spirit striking them through sanctification; those Pentecostals,
that they walked up and down the streets and they called them "tongues
demons," and "Jabberers," and "goose language," and
all of that; they'll stand in the righteousness in the sight of God at that
day just as certain as this Bible stands here.
We showed how that all these
things he mentions are part of the Sixth Seal, and in our study of the Sixth
Seal, we found that we have a promise that we will not be here to partake in
those events. They are Sixth Seal judgments, and the bride of Christ will be
gone at that time.
Then when we see these things
beginning to form, and we look around and the entire Church world is focusing
on these events, it ought to let us know how late an hour we are in. Most of
the Church believe the church will go through the
tribulation, and the Sixth seal are tribulation judgments.
Now, I believe somehow that we
may be here when the great earth quake hits California, but whether we are in
this dimension or having just passed into that time of resurrection, where we
may in a state where we can see this dimension yet we can not be harmed by the
things that are taking place I do not know, and I do not pretend that I
completely understand it. All I know is what a vindicated prophet of God said,
and He said we will not be here for these events mentioned when the Sixth Seal
Judgments hit.
Now the Events that will take
place are a follows:
First of all when the Sixth
Seal manifests, the very first thing will be a great earth quake.
Revelation 6:12. And I beheld when
he had opened the Sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake;
Then the second event will be the darkening of the sun
like sack cloth. Now, I do not believe for one second that was the
solar eclipse we saw last week even though the sun was darkened, but only for a
minute it was, and there was still a
ring of light coming around the moon, so it was not black like sack cloth. But
this word sackcloth speaks of grief, because everywhere in Scripture when they
wore sackcloth it was worn for a period of grieving. And it was associated with
ashes. Sackcloth and ashes.
Matthew 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin!
woe unto thee,
Joel 1:13 Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests:
howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye
ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering
is withholden from the house of your God.
Now, we know that the Book of Joel speaks much about
the end time, and we can not really understand the end time events without
understanding the Book of Joel. Many of the end-time prophesies that Br.
Branham spoke of come from the Book of Joel, as we see in all three chapters of
the Book of Joel.
Joel 1:1-3 Blow ye the
trumpet in

Branham reads from Isaiah 4:2 "In that day
shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious,..."
And remember, Jesus
said in John 15:1, "I am the vine and ye are the branches"

shall have washed away the filth of the daughter of
Now, back to Joel,
"and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let
all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; (it's
right around the corner and it will be earmarked as)
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of
clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the
mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like,
neither shall be any more after it, even to the
years of many generations. 3 Tell
ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. 4 That which the palmerworm hath left
hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm
eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller
eaten.
Many of you that listen
to the tapes have heard brother Branham refer to this prophecy many times. But
let's continue to read on. 5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; (notice the cry to awake, just exactly like that to
the foolish virgins) and howl, all ye drinkers of
wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
Notice the new wine will be cut off.
Jesus speaks of the new Wine as being filled with the holy Ghost. And teaches how the man must have a sanctified
new life to receive it in Mark
We know in the Book of Acts that men thought the
pouring out of the Holy Ghost was what actually men who were drunk from new
wine. But the Apostle Peter spoke to them and told them it was actually the
pouring out of Holy Ghost as foretold by Joel the prophet.

Notice so much from the
Book of Joel here. Now let's go back to Joel chapter 1 and we'll pick up at
verse 6.
Joel 1:6 For a
nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number,
whose teeth are the teeth of a lion,
and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion. 7 He
hath laid my vine waste, (the church) and barked
my fig tree: (that's
Now, the fig tree represents
We read in the Book of Revelations 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and
saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon
his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Now, this beast is also
spoken of in Revelations chapter 17 and 18
and we find it is a city that rules over the
kings of the earth and that city
sits on seven mountains. Now, the only nation city is the

Now, back to Joel 1:8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
9 The
meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the
house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD'S ministers, mourn.
You see, the five foolish virgins are girded with sack
cloth, because the Meat in due season is no longer. It has been cut off from
the people. She went out to meet Him but realized she was not ready, and the
door was shut.
10 The field is wasted, (no more mission
fields, it's over. ) the land mourneth;
for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, (no
more pouring out of the Holy spirit) the oil (Oil
represents the Spirit and it) languisheth. 11 Be ye ashamed, O ye
husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley;
because the harvest of the field is perished. (Harvest is over and
the gleaning has been very little, one in a million, and there will be nothing
left but shame and scorn for the ministers who did not make it. They are the
husbandry men, and vinedressers, and it says, "be ashamed,
because the harvest of the field perished".
12 The vine
is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy
is withered away from the sons of men.
Trees represent men,
and the many different types of trees represents the
many kinds of men, and they have all withered, which means their seed has run
out.
13 Gird
yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of
the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God:
for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your
God.
The Holy Spirit has left the earth, and their is no more spiritual food in due season, it's over,
the last sermon has been preached, the last song has been sung.
14 Sanctify ye a fast, call
a solemn assembly, gather the elders and
all the inhabitants of the land into the house of
the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD, 15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at
hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Gather together to weep and fast but it will not do
you any good. Because it is too late, the rapture has passed, and there is only the judgments left.
16 Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?
When the people who are left behind realize they
didn't make it, there will be no more joy the rest of their days. All that is
left is rotten seed.
17 The seed is rotten under
their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down;
for the corn is withered.
It's all over at this
point.
18 How do the
beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed,
because they have no pasture; (no place to feed anymore) yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. That
word desolate was translated from the Hebrew word "asham" pronounced "aw
shame", and it means guilty, and fit for punishment.
Having no pastures, no "pastors", because they that are left
along with their pastors which they realize led them wrong, they will scatter
knowing they missed it because they allowed that guy to deceive them.
19 O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the
fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath
burned all the trees of the field. 20 The beasts of the field cry
also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire
hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
What a time it will be
when the people realize they are lost, and that they have been left behind,
rejected by God, because they had not made Him the center of their universe.
Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in
Every pastor should be blowing the trumpet each time
the people come toghether,
letting them know how close the coming of the Lord really is. And if they are
not, then they are not true watchmen of God.
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick
darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a
strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after
it, even to the years of many
generations. 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is
as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness;
yea, and nothing shall escape them. In
other words, like the curses of Deuteronomy 28,
the enemy comes into a beautiful land and lays it desolate, ruined, and nothing
to build upon. Like this nation has done with

4 The appearance of them is
as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
5 Like
the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like
the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the
stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. 6 Before
their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather
blackness. 7 They
shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war;
and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not
break their ranks: 8 Neither shall one thrust another; they
shall walk every one in his path: and when
they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. 9 They shall run to
and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon
the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. Notice it speaks here of stealth technology.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens
shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars
shall withdraw their shining: 11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his
army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth
his word: for the day of the LORD is great and
very terrible; and who can abide it?
12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your
heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for
he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and
of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. 14 Who
knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a
blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a
drink offering unto the LORD your God? 15 Blow

In other words, the
great assembling, the great convocation is about to begin. The
Uniting of the bride and Groom. The rapture takes place and now he
speaks to
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD,
weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O
LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule
over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? 18 Then will the
LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19 Yea,
the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn,
and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more
make you a reproach among the heathen:
20 But I will remove far off from you the
northern army, and will drive him into a land
barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part
toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done
great things. 21 Fear not, O land; be glad
and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. 22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of
the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth
her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
And now he speaks to
the bride about the end time revival God will send when he sends Elijah the
prophet to make ready a prepared people.
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for
he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down
for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the
floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow
with wine and oil. 25 And
I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and
the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty,
and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt
wondrously with you: and my
people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye
shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I am
the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I
will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids
in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the
earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the
great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
Now, that ought to let
you know these blood moons and solar eclipses are to let you know the great and
terrible day of the Lord is on it's way. 32 And
it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion (that's the bride) and in Jerusalem
(that's the 144,000) shall be
deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall
call.
Now, Joel chapter 3 deals again
with the Jews
Joel 3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in
that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and
Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will
bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there
for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they
have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy
for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4 Yea, and
what have ye to do with me, O
The gentiles are
getting retribution for what they did to the Jews, and God has set up certain
Jews to deal harshly with the gentiles. Look, no-one can escape what they were
predestined to do here on earth.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty
men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10 Beat your plowshares into
swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the
weak say, I am strong. 11 Assemble yourselves, and
come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause
thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. 12 Let the heathen
be wakened, and come up to the
See this speaks of the gathering together of the
nations against

The present day conflict between the Arabs and Jews
began as a family conflict between Ishmael and Isaac first, and then Easu and Jacob. When Esau became embittered against Jacob, he

Isaiah 50:3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
Now, back to the Sixth Seal.
1st a great earth quake
2nd and the sun became
black as sackcloth of hair,
3rd the moon became as blood;
4th And the stars (asters) of heaven fell unto the earth, The actual Greek word translated here as star is
actually "Aster", which we get our word asteroid from.
5th mighty winds 13 "even as a fig tree casteth
her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."
6th Pole shift. 14. And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; The key here is that it
has to be rolled for the heavens to depart.
7th it is only fitting that the pole shift takes place
before "every mountain and island were
moved out of their places.
8th 15. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the
rich men, and the chief captains, (that's all the generals) and the mighty
men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and
in the rocks of the mountains;
Now,
we can not say these are chronological because I believe the elites will hide
themselves before too much happens. The Mighty earth quake might send them
scurrying for their holes in the ground like a bunch of rats. But they won't be
safe there, for there destruction is spoken of in the Book of Isaiah.

in the last days,…
10Enter into
the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the
LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. 11The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the
haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted
in that day.
12For the day of the LORD of
hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that
is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: 17And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the
haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in
that day. 18And the idols he shall utterly
abolish". 19And they
shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth,
for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his
idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles (those who dig tunnels, in
fact the machine you se pictured below is called the mole by our government)
and to the bats; (those who dwell in caves and caverns) In other words the rich
will pay out their wealth to gain entrance to the tunnels and underground caves
and caverns. And that is exactly what the next verse tells us. 21To go into the clefts of
the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of
the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22Cease ye from
man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?
Uncertain sound 61-0429E P:23 So
there's no security. There's no way to get away from it. You can't dig down, them bombs will blow a hundred and fifty feet in the ground,
for a hundred miles square almost. And that's what we know about. What of those
that we do not know about? Every nation has its secret things they're
holding back. And just wonder what we do not know about. Then they're
talking about all this parading and going into places, and finding somewhere, a
bomb shelter, digging down in the ground, going to move the government under
some tunnel. What good would it do? Well, if one of them bombs would hit, and you'd be fifteen hundred feet
below it, it would break every bone in your body, the concussion would.

And so we see the preparation of the men of this
world, preparing to hide from the wrath of the lamb. but
what about you? Are you also making ready as a prepared people for the Lord/
