The word Dunamis is used in the New Testament for the words POWER, VIRTUE, STRENGT AND MIGHT. It speaks of an inherent power, a power that is so inseparable from the One exercising it that this power displayed becomes a mark or identifiable characteristic of the One excercizing it, and thus the power exhibited becomes a visble manifestation of It's inner nature. This power being of such a nature as to perform even miracles.

2MATTHEW 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

3MATTHEW 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

4MATTHEW 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

5MATTHEW 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

6MATTHEW 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

7MATTHEW 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this [man] this wisdom, and [these] mighty works?

19MARK 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

20MARK 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

21MARK 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

22MARK.13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

23MARK 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

24MARK 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

25LUKE 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

31LUKE 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
